Q. How much does it cost?
A.
Membership is a one off joining fee of £100. In addition, there are refreshment fees applicable, i.e. breakfast fees. Refreshment costs are always paid by Standing Order at a cost of £20 per month.

Q. How do I join Business Networking – 1700 Breakfast Club?
A.
We welcome visitors along to at any of our scheduled meetings. If you would like to come along to a meeting, please advise us in advance by completing & submitting the form on the home page and we will contact you. Provided there is a vacancy in your business category you can sign up straight away. Visiting a meeting is complimentary and each company is entitled to two no obligation club visits before making a decision on membership.

Q. What happens when there is more than one company interested in joining?
A.
Membership is based on speed of commitment. The first company to return the membership form gets the place.

Q. What type of membership is available?
A. Membership is taken by company, not on an individual basis - so only one joining fee per company is required. The same person from the member company doesn’t have to attend every meeting and this allows you to spread the responsibility of attendance among your team members.

Q. What if my business category is taken?
A. Don’t give up. You can come to any of the meetings as a visitor and we will put you in touch with other affiliated Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce club.

Q. What happens to the club refreshment fees if I miss a meeting?
A.
All refreshment fees are non-refundable and will go towards the marketing of the club.

Q. What if I’m not able to make any introductions or referrals?
A.
There is no introduction or referral targets for any members, people share what they can and what they feel comfortable with.

Q. What’s the best way of getting leads & referrals?
A.
Be as specific as possible in what you want from other members. Don’t ask for contacts with “anyone who might need my services” but identify companies or organisations you want an introduction to. Also make time to develop relationships with fellow members so you are better placed to recognise future opportunities.

Q. What happens if I can’t meet the attendance commitment?
A.
If the situation is temporary and can be resolved, the membership may be continued. But if the situation cannot be resolved the member may be asked to resign so that the category can be properly represented by someone else who can guarantee networking opportunities for other members.

Q. What is the "60 secs presentation"?
A.
This is your opportunity to showcase your business, i.e. state your name, company and role, product & services that you provide and ask for a contact or particular type of business that you require
